Targeted Player Development

Reflect. Plan. Execute. Improve.

Reflection, metacognition, and player agency are habits grounded in research on self-regulation and learning. If you want a trackable window into each player’s perception of their performance, REFLX builds these habits into your club’s routine and creates accountability for coaches and players alike.

Every REFLX match begins here

What’s one thing you did well today, and why do you think that worked?

I stayed patient when we were 1–0 down instead of forcing the forward pass every time. Their midfield was stepping up hard, so the space was behind them, not in front. Two of my switches came from noticing that. It worked because I actually looked before I received instead of deciding early.

Coach response — This is the read we’ve been working on since August. Adding it to your IDP as an action step: open your body to the far side when receiving from the centre-backs.

Reflections are the player’s own. Coaches respond; they don’t rewrite.

For Technical Directors

See every gap before it becomes a habit.

A live list of players falling behind on evaluations, IDPs, or reflections — and a side-by-side read on how a team’s actual style of play compares to what the coach reported after each match.

For Club Staff

One note, exactly the right audience.

Every note on a player’s file has a fixed audience: Medical (medical staff, admins, and TDs only), Coach (team staff only — the player never sees it), Player (the player can read it, and optionally the parent), or Private (visible only to the author, not even admin or TD). Injuries logged on a medical note also roll up into a club-wide Medical Register, so a TD sees who’s out and overdue across every team without opening a single profile.

📎 Linked to Injury — Ankle, since Aug 10

Rolled ankle in training, mild swelling. Iced and elevated, reassess Thursday.

Coach NoteCoach Reyes · Aug 13, 2026

Cautious on the ball since the injury. Ease him back in with rondos before full training.

For Coaches

One goal format, every player, every time.

Coaches build each IDP goal the same way — a focus area, up to four action steps, a metric to track, and a target review date. Sign-offs carry the approver’s name and a note, so there’s a record of who approved what, and why.

For Players

Your plan. Your words. Your progress.

Players can propose their own focus areas — a coach approves them before they go live. Every check-in updates the same progress bar the coach sees, so nobody’s guessing where things stand.

“Felt the half-turn click twice tonight — added both clips to my highlights.”

For Parents

Their engagement, not a coach’s verdict.

Parents see their child’s own reflection scores and the shared development plan — never the written reflection, and never a coach’s evaluation of them. Clubs turn the portal on deliberately, and a coach can release a season-over-season comparison once there’s enough data behind it.
